Chamo studied textiles and illustration at the Duperre School of Applied Arts in Paris. Following this, she studied visual communication at the Kunsthochschule-Berlin Weissensee.

In 2005 Chamo returned to Paris where she dedicated herself to illustration, gaining representation by the agency Illustrissimo.
She produces CD covers and sleeve notes, posters for plays and concerts, event flyers and a range of illustrations published in the French and international press including Magazines for children at Bayard, Milan Press, Los Angeles Magazine, Glow and Nobrow.
Chamo also produces children’s books, notably ‘ABC des signes’, an alphabet book of sign-language, which has been published by Parisian based Thierry Magnier and ‘Bon anniversaire Princesse’, a pop-up book published by Gallimard.
In 2006, Chamo created L’Articho, an association dedicated to drawing and illustration which she co-manages. L’Articho aims to create events such as exhibitions, publications and markets focused on illustration. L’Articho also publishes a biennial magazine, Les Cahiers de L’Articho.
